Self-Harm
Understanding Self Harm - this would bring it in line with the stress, anxiety and depression modules.
It can be very distressing for a parent, carer or colleague to know that someone is consciously harming themselves. It is also difficult to understand why they would choose to do so.
This introductory course includes an interview with a clinical psychologist to explain self-harming and what motivates sufferers. You will learn to spot the signs that something isn't right and know what help is available.
This Course is for you if:
- You worry or concerned of others and/or your own mental health
- To gain more knowledge about self-harm
- You are worried about someone and you do not want symptoms to develop into anything more concerning
- To gain an insight of signs and symptoms of self-harm
